We are hoping that a concert will be held soon at which the works of Liszt will play. A B C D

在上面的试题里,the works of Liszt(李斯特的作品)是 play(演奏)这个动作的承受者,因此,必须用被动句(应将 will play 改为 will be played)。

一般现在时:am/is/are done 过去进行时:was/were being done

一般过去时:was/were done 现在完成时:has/have been done

一般将来时:will be done 过去完成时:had been done

现在进行时:am/is/are being done 将来完成时:will have been done

He gave his sister the camera.

give, lend, send, show A. The camera was given his sister. (his sister 为保留宾语) B. His sister was given the camera.

此外,间接宾语为保留宾语时,其前可以加介词 to: C. The camera was given to his sister.

关于ABC句式在语义上的细微差别,见 give13\mathrm{give}^{1 - 3}

John was made ____ the truck for a week as a punishment. A. to wash B. washing C. wash D. to be washing(全国高考,91-28) 我记得在 make 之后充当宾语补足语的动词不定式是不带 to 的。

I told him to go away.He was told to go away.

宾语补足语的动词不定式不带 to, 而在被动句里却要求它们带 toThey saw him come out of the house. He was seen to come out of the house.

Good care must ____ babies particularly while they are ill.

A. take B. take of C. be taken D. be taken of(上海高考,92-27)

  1. We must take good care of babies. \rightarrow Good care must be taken of babies.

  2. We must make full use of these data in production. \rightarrow Full use must be made of these data in production.

notional passives(意义被动句) $^{1}$

(1)——Do you like the material? ——Yes, it ____ very soft. A. is feeling B. felt C. feels D. is felt(全国高考,94-27)

(2) Books of this kind ____ well. A. sell B. sells C. are sold D. is sold(上海高考,99-12)

feel(摸)的施动者应当是人, sell(卖)的施动者也应当是人。

A. 一般时

  1. This material washes/doesn't wash/won't wash.

  2. The clock winds up at the back.

  3. She doesn't frighten easily.

  4. His books don't sell.

  5. The book sells quickly.

  1. Oranges are selling cheaply today.

  2. These shirts are washing easily.

  3. The house is building.

  4. A new type of engine is developing.

Books of this kind ____ well.

A. sell B. sells C. are sold D. is sold(上海高考,99-12)

答案为 A。

His books are not sold.

a) The sentences read clearly.

b) The sentences are read clearly.

There are some kinds of rays from the sun which would burn us to death if we were not protected from them.

  1. Later in life, when Einstein was asked to explain his law of relativity to a group of young students, he said...

  1. They set him free when his ransom had not yet been paid.
