《初中英语重点·难点纵横谈》(二)(中国科技大学出版社,p.2)指出,下面的说法是正确的:Welcome you back! Welcome you back here! 另外,我在超级市场的收款机上也看到了 Welcome you! 的欢迎词。

请问 welcome 是什么词呢？如果是动词，那它的主语呢？

上面的说法都是不正确的。正确的说法应当是：

Welcome to China (England, our school)! 欢迎来中国(英国/我校)!

如与副词或介词短语搭配,则不用 to:

应当搞清楚,上面用法的 welcome 并不是动词,而是感叹词,因此,既不能加主语,也不能加宾语。

当然, welcome 也可用作动词, 但是, 此时它表示“迎接”“欢迎”这个动作:

He came to the door to welcome us. 他到门口来迎接我们。
I must go and welcome the new arrivals. 我必须去迎接新到来的人。
We were welcomed at door by the children. 我们在门口受到孩子们的欢迎。
... I'm often asked why Bill and I have stayed together. It's not a question I welcome. (Hillary, Living History) ……常常有人问我:为何我和比尔还在一起。这是一个我不喜欢被问及的问题。

此外, welcome 还可用作形容词:

You're always a welcome guest here. 你在这儿总是受欢迎的客人。
All suggestions will be welcome. 欢迎一切建议。
These people will be welcome on our planes. 我们欢迎这些人乘坐我们的飞机。welcome 用作形容词时,有两个常见用法:

A. You are welcome. 不必客气。(不用谢。)见 $welcome^{2}$ 。

B. be welcome to sth./to do sth.
