every 通常只能用作形容词, 如 every day, every student, 而不能用作代词, 因此, 不能说: every of the days, every of the students。而 each 除用作形容词外, 还可用作代词。例如:
Each state Each of the states 每个国家都有自己的国旗。
each 与 every 的另一个语法上的区别, 是 each 还可用作副词:
