选 C 也可以。选 C 不仅语法上正确，而且修辞上也无毛病，也就是说，选 C 并不劣于选 D。请看下面的句子：
He and his brother are very like. (Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English, p. 728) 他和他哥哥长得非常像。
Then there are Hans and Peter, the twins... and they are very like each other. (Essential English, Book 1, p. 150) 汉斯和彼得是双胞胎，他们长得非常像。

我不明白为什么在上面的句子里用形容词 alike(同样的,相像的)竟是错误的。
应当记住, alike, 如同其他的以字母 a 开头的形容词 (afraid, alone, asleep, awake 等) 一样, 通常充当表语, 而不充当定语, 更不能用作介词, 因此上句中的 alike 应改为 like:
All music is alike to him. (ECD) 所有的音乐在他听来都是一样的。
I believe they were alike in character. (Voynich) 我认为他们性格相似。like 却可以用作介词或形容词。形容词 like 既可作表语，也可作定语：
This Pat wasn't at all like the Pat of his memories. (Lindsay) 现在的帕特一点也不像他记忆中的那个帕特了。
You are just like what I expected. (Shaw) 你正像我期望的那样。
Like father, like son. (Prov) 有其父必有其子。
