v-ed1

凡是由不及物动词变来的 v-ed 分词,都没有被动含义,而只有“完成”含义,这是它跟 v-ing 的不同之处,如 returnreturned(father), growgrown(boy), escapeescaped(prisoner), fallfallen(leaves):

  1. The fallen player was helped to his feet. (FWF)

  2. A grown man like you shouldn't act like that. (LDCE)

v-ed2

the country concerned/involved

单个的过去分词用作定语时大都前置,如: an abandoned hope, the wanted man, the broken window。

  1. The material needed is zinc.

  2. The method adopted was effective.

  3. Things seen are mightier than things heard.

  4. The people involved were not found.

the amount demanded(所需的数量)

the earliest inventions known(已知的最早的发明)

the countries concerned(有关的国家)

a concerned expression(忧虑的表情)

the parties involved(有关各方)

an involved problem(复杂的问题)

jobs wanted(寻找的工作)

wanted men(被通缉的人)

  1. He talked to me like a concerned older brother.

  2. She told me an involved story about her family.
