such

这里的 such 是个代词，在句中作表语。为什么不把它分析为主语呢？因为 such 之后的谓语动词总是与位于其后的名词或代词的数保持一致（即表语提前引起主谓语的倒装）。例如：

1. Such is the influence of TV that it can make a person famous overnight. 电视的影响力就是这么大, 可以让人一夜成名。

2. He worked hard but earned a little money; such was his fate. (such 替代前面的分句) 他

辛勤地工作，可是只挣到一点儿钱，这就是他的命啊。

3. Cricket was boring. Such(ie That) was her opinion before meeting Ian. 打板球没意思。她在认识伊恩以前就是这种看法。(such 替代前面的整个句子)

4. Such were his words! 他是这么说的!

5. Such are the results! 结果就是这样!

此题应选 A。such a(an) + 单数可数名词结构,你已经很熟悉了。但是,可以看出,你还不熟悉 no such + 单数可数名词结构。可以这样来记忆:在 such 之前有 no, some, any, one 等词时,就不能再使用不定冠词 a(an) 了。例如:

1. “No such person lives here.” “这里没有这个人。”

2. He said he hadn't got time or made some such excuse. 他说他没有时间,或是诸如此类的借口。

3. In any case I don't believe in magic, there is no such thing. 我无论如何也不会相信魔法，世上压根儿没这种玩意儿。

4. She had no right to do any such thing. 她没有权做任何此类事情。

[附注]根据薄冰教授的研究,偶尔也有人使用 no such a thing 这种不规范的结构。请做下面的英语试题：
