cause(n.)1

cause/reason $^{1}$

According to the recent research, heavy coffee drinking and heart attack is not necessarily ____ and effect. A. reason B. impact C. fact D. cause(上海高考,02-46) 我认为选项 AD 都是正确的。

  1. Smoking is one of the causes of heart disease.

  2. She just suddenly left without giving any reason. Money is often the ____ of many divorces(离婚). A. motive B. cause C. reason D. ground

cause(n.)3

the cause of/for

(1)Cattle are one cause of the problem.

(2) You have no cause for complaint.

  2. Nobody knew the cause of the explosion...

  3. You have no cause for complaint.
