Chapter 3
3.3 个体限定词(一):each/every
3.3 个体限定词(一):each/every
比如我们说:every/each boy,而不说:every/each boys*。
1 Every boy has a gift.
2 Each boy has a gift.
3 Every man is the master of his own fortune.
4 Each has a gift.
Every has a gift. *
5 Every boy/Each boy has a gift.
6 Each has a gift.
7 Each of the boys has a gift.
不能说:each of boys*,而要说:each of these/the/my boys。
8 Every one of the boys has a gift.
妙语点睛 every不能单独使用,而且在与of短语连用时,只能是分开写的every one of,而不能说everyone of。
9 The boys each have a gift.
10 The boys have a gift each.
11 I give the boys each a gift.
12 Each sex has its own physical and psychological characteristics.
13 There are a lot of trees on each side of the street.
14 We want every student to succeed in the exam.
15 Each student has his own personal dream in his mind.
16 Different fields create various No. 1s. Each profession produces its own best.
17 I want to welcome each and every balloon enthusiast in Philadelphia. Thank you for coming here this morning to commemorate the first balloon voyage in the United States.
18 every two days
20 In the United States, presidential elections are held once every four years.
